FACTS

There has been a regatta held in Sunbury from 1876 until the present day. In its present form, it is not only a serious skiffing race event for local clubs, but a community event for all the family.

As a regatta, Sunbury typically has over 50-60 club skiffing races, around 20 local events and 20 punting races. Clubs from up and downstream take part from as far afield on the river as Teddington and Wargrave - we also have off river entries from as far afield as Cambridge.

Away from river, the lawn provides a wide range of activities. From bar tents to Punch and Judy shows, there is something for every member of the family. Many community groups and charities have stalls on the lawn and Sunbury Regatta is also a fundraising opportunity for many. Not only that, but a significant proportion of the profits from the lawn are split between worthy causes.
